Ask HN: Will bionic-reading crush my project if I use it?
Hi, a while ago I created this project called [kindle-send](github.com/nikhil1raghav/kindle-send) which can send webpages and other docs as epubs to your ereader.
I saw [bionic-reading](https://bionic-reading.com) on HN. I understand it is pretty easy to replicate by making ceil(len/2) letters bold. That's why they filed for a patent.
Now I want to add a flag in my project which will do the same thing to documents before sending them, but I'm uncertain about legal implications.
Should a simple thing like this even be granted a patent? Do a similar thing but only for consonants.
