Ask HN: How to Think Continously?

I am a Software Engineer and one of the things I most struggle is with thinking continuously (for the lack of better words).

Whenever I face any issue that I had not already anticipated (like framework X won't let me do Y), I have to just stop there and get back to it after few hours. I know that if I spent just a little bit more time thinking about the problem, I can find a way. But it seems every time I sit, I can only get myself to solve the problems I knew before sitting. If it's new, it can only be covered next time. I want to be able to continue working even when I face issues which I had not anticipated.

Do you face similar issues? Is there anything that worked for you to improve the situation? Or any general thoughts?

Thank You

That's you being a human person. Not everything is a problem to solve. It's common place that you shouldn't think too much but let sleep advise you. Just don't even sit the first time and cope with what you are, like we all do.

While I agree that this is a human nature, I do hope there to be a more systematic way of improving the situation here.

For example, last year I was having a lot of trouble with managing all the tasks, just adopting a simple note-taking strategy helped me a lot. I still struggle, but not as much as I used to be.
