Ask HN: How have you improved your communication skills?
When working with teams, communication is an essential skill to be a good engineer.
I'm really bad at it, especially when I have to structure a speech. I always feel that I have to improve this aspect, but I don't have a clear way to do it.
Do you have any useful tips to improve this? Maybe a book, a course... Practice. Ask how you did, and how you could have done better. That’s harder than asking in the hypothetical, but usually more valuable, too. We all can, but the “how” is what varies. Relax. Most people are really bad at it. Even some that think they are quite good at it. Especially some of those.
