I imagine that probably puts an end to the "it must be a bug" considerations. Seems a bit heavy handed.

But this seems to be Substack's official account: https://twitter.com/substackinc

Or just someone paying for the check & masquerading, so I can't be sure.

Hilarious that Twitter thinks of Substack as a rival. I don't think they are similar products at all.

One platform is has a temporal advantage, and the other has a quality advantage.

No one is going to Substack for breaking news and no one is going to twitter for nuanced, quality perspectives.

Linking between the two is net positive, is it not?

    No one should be going there for that, but some are, and Twitter doesn't want to pop that reality bubble.

      You joke not. That day Twitter first mucked up the timeline - just to freaking shunt us all into echo chambers - it was the end of whatever didn't suck.

    Substack launched Notes, which is an explicit rival to Twitter. See the twitterfiles journalist Matt Taibbi quitting Twitter over that.
