Still no label for German DW and British BBC though.

They need to do the same with Canada's CBC.

Even if the labeling is obviously subjective and probably just at Musk's whims, it's a superior system to some sort of state approved messaging & censorship and Twitter was previously doing. Nobody believes Musk is a neutral source.

The thing is, even if the CBC is government-funded, it is still independent reporting, unlike news outlets from China, Saudia Arabia, or Russia, which are straight out lies and propaganda. Any teen with access to social media can debunk 75% of stories on those outlets. NPR, CBC, BBC, and the rest are on a different planet compared to the other garbage.

CBC is the news organ of canadian public service and this the liberal party. There is no question of it's extreme bias, both for the liberals and their agenda and against others parties. And it's not just that they're "left" leaning, they are explicitly pro-liberal, as is the entire public service, because they've all got their faces in the government trough.

It's almost impossible to get real news in Canada. The only non far-left source is the National Post which is not particularly good and is partisan. But re CBC, I'd encourage people to look at their news, what they focus on and what they leave out, and decide how independent of the Liberals they are.
