The Media’s Recent Turn to “Climate Optimism” Is a Cruel Fantasy

Well the thing is that when you are telling people 24/7 for years to no end that only bad thing will result from climate change and that it is already too late to do anything, then people will start being apathetic and indifferent to climate change. Why should they care, when they can't do anything?
