Ask HN: Why my karma point seems to be blocked?
I've had some upvote and comment on my posts, but I see no results in Karma point.
This means that my account is somehow banned?
Every vote on a story does not give you karma. Its maybe 50%, and I think there are more complex rules, e.g. if someone usually upvotes your stories it doesn't count (I don't know this definitely, it's a theory explaining some observations).
For comments, I've never seen anything but a 1:1 relationship i.e. comment points - 1 = delta_karma. Sometime there are delays though, and sometimes when people upvote it doesn't change the comment score.
You should email the Contact address at the bottom of the page here. It's a more reliable way to get admin attention.
Yeah, your account is hellbanned. I can't see the things you post, your profile, all of that ;-)
My impression lately is that some caching might be going on and that the karma count seems to sometimes lag behind votes.
Yeah this looks weird. I've posted some Ask HN lately with many comments and impression, but there are not in the Ask Wallpost.
Many "Ask(s)" don't get there.
Is it possible you have older posts that got downvoted around the same time without you noticing?
