Ask HN: Companies started enforcing core hours policy?
Do bay area companies now enforce core hours policy, i.e. you have to be physically in office from 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM every weekday? My company started enforcing it recently and I am not happy about it. I am thinking of quitting. I feel like its more than a productivity statistics thing. Maybe its a culture thing among upper managment. You should quit.
I get that you have to be reachable in those hours, but in office? yes, they want people to be in office during the core hours. yeah, no thanks.
