Ask HN: Advice on Switching from Data to Operations?
I am a Data Person with 4 years of working in tech/finance. For the past year, I have been consulting smaller companies. A couple of those projects spilled past simple analyses into full-fledged project management and operations management, where I had to work on Sales/Marketing KPIs and processes. I loved the experience of taking the initiative and implementing new data-based ideas/processes that brought an actual change in the company.
Any advice/insights on switching careers from Data Scientist to Operations Manager? How to find those jobs? How to learn more?
