Stripe freezes funds of small North Carolina septic company
tiktok.comI've been following this company for quite a while because the owner has interesting ideas and considerations when it comes to employment policies etc. Generally seems like a great company.
I'm dismayed not just to hear of Stripe freezing funds suddenly and presumably without real reason, but so many comments saying how common they hear this with Stripe.
Has Stripe been going downhill / the way of Paypal? I don't keep up quite the way I used to, but it used to be that they were the new, greatly improved, best customer service processor.
What's happened?
Stripe seems to be hurtling on the evoluionary path towards becoming Paypal, which may just be an inevitable process.
I don't think it's inevitable, because governments notice what large financial companies do. It might be aaaaaalmost inevitable, depending on who's got the best lobbyists. Let's hope not.
