Lets be real. Salesforce just isn't a great product...atleast from a marketing technologist point of view. Or the product has not evolved?

    What does “taking responsibility” actually mean though? Is the CEO actually receiving any consequences?

    No, Marc Benioff is marketing the blame. If he were to take the blame, he'd relinquish his position as CEO.

    From a developer perspective, trying migrate a behemoth of a salesforce instance to their new tooling (Salesforce DX) in order to introduce version control and pipeline checks has been an absolutely horrible experience.
