Elon is paying a large amount, certainly in the billions per year, for the privilege of running Twitter. Either in interest on loans, or opportunity cost of investing the lump sum he paid elsewhere.

In effect, his salary is negative a billion dollars a year or more.

So, sorry, minimum wage doesn't cut it. Musk was the low bidder for the job by a huge amount. Why do you think they were so eager to give it to him?
