Just what we need. Shipping containers being pulled out of the shipping industry are one of the contributing factors to supply chain chaos over the last couple of years. Hopefully these containers will return to where they're needed.

Just FYI, shipping container costs are back to pre-pandemic levels now.

Also in the article, it states that this is Ducey’s last day in office and his successor wants to get rid of the containers.

> But in its lawsuit, the government claimed Arizona was trespassing on federal lands.

> It cites environmental concerns associated with the construction, claiming Arizona has "cut down and removed scores of trees, clogged drainages, and degraded the habitat of species listed under the Endangered Species Act".

> Governor Ducey has previously said that his state would remove the shipping containers, which he described as a temporary barrier, but he has asked the Biden administration for a timeline on when it will fill remaining gaps in the permanent border wall.

So was this symbolic gesture funded by AZ taxpayers? Sounds like a huge mess and a liability the state should have seen coming.

The article photo also doesn't do the wall justice IMO. Other photos make it more clear that the wall looks more precisely like a half-assed environmental disaster...
