Ask HN: How can I sell my app?
I’ve built a pretty polished cross platform desktop app as a side project. It it small (has a few hundred users) and is new. Since I want to focus on other projects and schoolwork, is there anywhere I can go to sell this? Or find partners to handle growth while I focus on tech?

A decade of entrepreneurship, a few ups and many downs later, I'd say that generally any serious participant is looking to buy a business, not just the technology. Maybe find someone at your university to work with on that aspect? In any case you have an excellent resume item - showing an idea that you've taken to completion is a meaningful signal to employers, investors, and a generally useful mentality to have in this industry. I have recently put together a list places to buy an app, mostly sourced from [1] Not sure on the seller side, but I think microaquire + indiemaker + sideprojectors would be a good combination of places to list. I have 0 experience with this space, but I've seen microacquire come up here on HN a few times. Maybe other users that actually used it or competitors could provide more insight, but there is at least 1 option for this. I think the sum of apps on play and app store shows that it is not super easy to sell apps. Probably even more difficult for desktop apps.
