The Future of Programming (Opinion)

All i see is a list of bullet points? We have got to stop this OOP stuff. Its why so much of the modern software stack is slow and bloated while 2 guys are in the basement are writing everything in arrays and structs trying to make 30 million lines of OOP run fast.

Here’s my quick and dirty prediction of what will happen with software in the future. The goal if this writeup is to collect feedback and spark discussion. Many of the statements can be purely wrong - please take them with a grain of salt.

Seems to me that all of these are very old ideas in programming, not the future. Maybe the future is going back 50 years and starting over, but probably not.
