I refuse to strap a device around my vision in order to be meta. The psychology behind this meta idea is simply drugs for your vision, exploiting what your brain is looking for. Cute figures everywhere. Not the least diverse and grounded in reality, just cutesy and manipulative.

The whole Metaverse setting is ridiculous. Playing sports while bound to an office chair instead of going outside - this is perverse. In my point of view a total bogus concept, that made only slightly sense during strict lock downs with curfews.

As an occasional break from reality it is ok, but being the new normal? Then Meta deserves to go bankrupt.

Looks to me that covid lockdown gave introverts the fantasy that people will now enjoy staying at home interacting with people through an online avatar.
