Shitcoin project tests the limits of cringe by building $600k statue of Elon
web3isgoinggreat.comNote that the author of the article is using "shitcoin" in place of the name of the actual crypto currency in order to not contribute to the attempted pump of the coin by the stunt.
So, sadly, there isn't a shitcoin. Or perhaps there is?

But it's just a token on Ethereum, so more like shittoken...

It's Elon's head on the body of a goat riding a rocket.
I disagree with the aesthetic choices by the people supporting this shitcoin project. I also disagree with the people choosing LV, Hermes, et al and would never buy their products either. It’s hard to see why this site which is supposed to take the stance that web3 doesn’t have a legitimate use case is posting this. Obviously some people find value in making an extraordinarily ugly statue, or they wouldn’t purchase the token.
It was already the dumping phase:
So not a golden calf then?
Inflation has reduced the golden calf to an aluminum goat.
The principle still applies though.
Regardless of your opinion on cryptocurrencies or Elon Musk, surely this article is not of high enough quality to deserve to be on HN?
Cue someone linking to the guidelines which says that HN is for interesting things, and so someone found this interesting. No kidding...
I agree with you, of course.
I hope the sculptors got paid in FIAT.
Since cryptos (shitcoins) don't produce anything, the only way the price can go up is if greater fools buy in. To get great fools to buy in, a project needs to spend on marketing their shitcoin.
Are we really mad at scams here or is this an opportunity for a bit of projection?
