When interest rates are high and your company is not making money, if you don't downsize, you go bankrupt.

    When you buy a company that doesn't make money to show off, then saddle it with $13bn dollars of debt in a leveraged buyout, it goes bankrupt faster. Extra points for driving away paying advertisers in the process then blaming "activists".
