Stagflation is, by definition, high inflation and high unemployment. TFA barely mentions unemployment, and seems to not realize that unemployment remains very low. It's just not talking about what it says it's talking about.

There are genuine economic problems on the horizon (various horizons), but it's dumb to be talking about "stagflation" when what we're facing is regular inflation. TFA is two weeks old but reads as if it were written a year ago. The Fed is already dealing with inflation -- ham-fistedly, as usual, but it's not like they're ignoring it.

The real problems deserve serious discussion. Which this article isn't.
