Russian Empire Aerospace Refugees
scottlocklin.wordpress.comWhat a strange article. It begins with some interesting stories of emigration to the U.S. (For a better version, read the chapter in Making of the Atomic Bomb called "Men From Mars" about a bunch of smart Hungarians that came to the U.S. and changed history). Then it takes a strange turn into a jumbled recitation of grievances and doom and gloom scenarios about the U.S. without citing much evidence. I suspect it's written for people that share the author's intuitive beliefs on these topics.
For example-- "Conservative family-oriented religious people like Sikorsky and Seversky have achieved pariah status"--citation needed. This is a common Fox News type talking point and reflects a belief on the part of many Christians that they are being persecuted within the U.S. But of course U.S. business and politics is still very much dominated by heterosexual Christian-identifying people with families. We've just taken steps to reduce persecutions of those that don't fit that mold.
This makes it hard to see this as anything other than an unfocused rant.
