FedEx abandons its last-mile delivery robot program
arstechnica.comI think its too soon... but I imagine at some point there will be fully automated deliveries. There will always be hiccups but same could be said about how it works now.
All of these services require a team of remote human drivers to function. My guess is they were willing to accept that as part of the initial attempt. When it became obvious that the promise of driverless deliveries was nowhere in sight, they cut the program. Who could blame them?
