Ask HN: Is anyone here in tech making significant money on YouTube?
A few months ago I started a YouTube channel to teach SAP's proprietary programming language: ABAP. In recent months I have started to make some (small) revenue from the YouTube partner program.
Are there others here that have tech-related channels? Are you finding any significant income gains from your channel? If you are successful in this endeavor, what topics generally garner the most views/watch hours? seems pretty niche. I would think you'll need some kind of course or other backend. or expand the channel and find other topics. btw, congratulations on starting a channel. Thanks, it's something I've always thought on doing and the motivation finally materialized. It's niche enough that I haven't had to do any advertising and the viewers keep coming so that's been great!
