It is pretty darn interesting how the form factor of the Wave Glider mentioned in the article intuitively looks like it could be an earlier or otherwise modified version of this boat found near Sevastopol.
My favorite speculative analytic photo is the one that includes a "Starlink Antenna??" label [1] and it's kinda fun to speculate about whether Elon Musk's ambitions have entered the Project Azorian-style covert operations arena. And I mean, in some ways why wouldn't they, it's Elon after all.

The deployment of Starlink in Ukraine is an US government operation, make no mistake about that.
Now, a remote-controlled boat (I have no idea if that's what was used) is not something difficult or expensive to build starting from an off-the-shelf boat or even from scratch. The difficulty, if it is to be used over long distances, is indeed the telecommunications system.
