Is anyone on this thread interested in putting one these in your home for ~$22,000 USD?

If yes, why?

    Don't worry, the first commercial robot will be for sale , probably in 10 years if not more (and probably not from tesla).

    This was a POC ? Not even sure what was it. Kind of a demo robot with some labs videos.

    The real question is what happen to Tesla after Toyota comes with cheap EV.

      What question is there? Tesla has demonstrated lack of expertise in delivering in the cheap+reliable quadrant. Toyota will eat TSLA alive. Probably not a favorable sentiment around HN, but this is the eventuality I see. Elon and his strategies are fundamentally unsustainable, he's a slippery snake. Not the materia long-term empires are made of.

        Also, I am not sure why a future robot will have only 2 legs and 2 hands ?

        Isn't the whole point is the be productive, why not 4 legs and 4 hands?

        I am sure that if you run RL experiments in a human house, you would find much more efficient design (I.e. the human design is based on human living in nature).
