Ask HN: Who owns the HN Top 100 / @newsyc100 Twitter bot?
Longtime follower (and appreciator!) of @newsyc100 but looks like it (and the similar ones with different thresholds) hasn't tweeted in a few days (since the 25th). The account doesn't have twitter DMs enabled or indicate who owns it. Searching github didn't yield anything promising.
Anyone know who owns it? Seems perhaps they're unaware it's broken so would like to let them know.
https://twitter.com/newsyc100 There's a few of these floating around Twitter. Twitter bots break over time. Maybe the creator of that account fell ill or something. You really don't know what happens behind the scenes of these things. I created a few bots using IFTTT and had to retire them because I was getting angry emails by people who ran the sites I was posting, asking 'Why is our link in this account?' or 'Why did you tweet about this?' (since it was unofficial and not posted by them, they wanted to be the ones who first posted it) I used HN search.
