India drafts rules to prevent installing apps that are not from App/Play Store
egovstandards.gov.inIndian government want to increase security by preventing "sideloading" of the apps in smartphones. Which really means, "You cannot run a program on your own device bought with your own money without getting it signed by Apple or Google because that is bad for cybersecurity."
They also want apps to check for root permissions to prevent running on rooted phones. There are also mentions of obfuscation of the binaries to increase security.
