Ask HN: What do you think would make Youtube better for you?

I am Amine, a web developer and I want to build a platform to make your Youtube experience much better by cutting the fluff out of your way and make your recommendations much worth it by giving you more control on what you want to watch and not be stuck in a content loop anymore.
So I would like to know: What do you don't like about the Youtube algorithm? What would make it better in your opinion? I want Youtube to recommend me more synthwave, based on sound similarity, composers, remixes, covers, and featured authors. I'd like it to show me a visual branch of recommendations so I can easily explore them and mark those already listened. YouTube premium is perfect, just waaay over-priced. I usually sign up for a month when I’m traveling and want to download stuff locally, but I otherwise cancel the subscription as I don’t think the ability to download is worth $16/month there should be some way to refresh the recommendations, show more variety, show something completely different from what you normally watch, etc. right now you watch one video, let's say it's vacuum cleaners. then for next two months you get recommended vacuum cleaner videos. That's a really big problem yeah. What if you were given the control to choose if you want to get more similar video recommendations in the future by checking a "recommend similar videos" box after you finish watching a video? Instead of the algorithm doing it by itself? Because sometimes you can watch a video and then you got everything you needed from it so you don't necessarily need to watch similar videos. A way for friends or trusted sources to recommend or share good songs? It could invent a whole new kind of influencer. i'd like that the channels i m subscribed to to has more influence on my feed.
I mean, i would like to see more video liked, commented or watched by those channel.
I can't say for sure this isn't already part of the algorithm...but still, more influence Nothing. Youtube Premium is a perfect experience Youtube Premium removes annoying ads so the watching experience gets better that's for sure. But how about the content that the algo recommends to you? Are you satisfied with it?
