The lockdown files: Rishi Sunak on what we weren’t told

It should be said that Sunak is running to replace Boris Johnson as PM and that he has been heavily criticised for the seemingly unlimited spending that occurred under his watch during Covid. This seems like a convenient way to minimise his own responsibility at an opportune time.

Not sure this will help him with Tory party members (who are the ones deciding on the new party leader and PM).
