The History of Scott/Tiger
wmarkito.wordpress.comScott/Tiger was one of my favourite ways to get access to exposed Oracle DBs when I was a pentester back in the 9i 10g era. Reliably there, not often disabled (well until after the pentest anyway), had good privileges.
Scott was actually my boss for a couple years. Always enjoyed our 1:1s. Small world.
How about naming a one-row, one col table 'dual' to get a SELECT going where the db demand something in the FROM clause?
Was that a Scott flourish?
I've done that with other dbs than Oracle.
Why is it called "dual" if there is only one item in it? I guess it's a joke of some sort, but I'm not getting it :-/
...and the column is named DUMMY.
All hell breaks loose if you insert or delete from this table.
I made a DUAL table in Rdb.
