This is a very interesting experiment. It seems like from an infrastructure standpoint, it would be much more efficient. From a socioeconomic standpoint, it could result in a separation of classes according to how far one is from the center unless there is a concerted effort to provide redundancy and special attractions throughout.

I wonder if they have modeled how it will work?
