Akami Technologies Acquired Linode

Didn't see this back in March. Unsure what to feel about this. Had a F&F discount at SliceHost until they were acquired by Rackspace, moved to Linode. 14 years ago. I've had nothing but bad experiences with company takeovers in this industry.

What are my options? DO/Vultr? We have a few hundred Vultr VMs at work and I'm getting maintenance emails near daily, but due to the nature of the product it's fine if we have a few regions offline. Am not okay with that for my dozens of personal projects.
