Please consider optimizing all images on your blog post, as not only it takes quite a while to load for visitors, but in case of your post getting popular, your server quickly will be "hugged to death", and depending on your hosting, you might get a bigger bill due to used bandwidth. Low effort and easiest solution is adding loading="lazy" attributes to all img tags, that will prevent images below fold from loading, adding image width and height attributes are important too. Best solution is to prepare smaller thumbnail images and add links to full images on them. And after fixing please share a blog post on Hacker News on how you did it.
