    Actual damages you can collect must be justified. You can ask for however much you want in punitive, but the judge/jury get the ultimate say on the verdict. The defendant’s financial planners/lawyers and the bankruptcy courts choose what fraction you can actually manage to collect.

    Elon is crossing the line repeatedly and it is going to bring opposition out of the woodwork in all directions.

    For instance people are usually better behaved in public than they are in private, who's going to take his claims he's innocent of sexual harassment seriously if he is lewd in public?

    Workers, investors, and customers of Elon Musk's companies and the general public are being endangered by his senseless bullshit. With great power comes great responsibility.

    It's a form of norm-breaking like Trump's Jan 6 attack or Xi's plan to get himself a third term. (e.g. China has a system very different from ours but it has internal norms just like we do.)
