Why the return to the office isn’t working

I'm sick of hearing about "return to the office". Most of us aren't returning to an office. If we're lucky, we get a desk to ourselves in an open-plan space. Otherwise, you're sharing a desk with some other poor bastard. Why the hell should any of us put up with that? Let the extroverted, neurotypical Type A's in the C-suite collaborate with each other. That's fine as long as they leave us the hell alone and let us do real work at home.
