Ask HN: How hard would it be to port ublock origin to Mac Safari?
So on Safari for MacOS, I usually use the Adguard for Safari extension. But I miss ublock origin. I have been playing around with the Orion (of Kagi search) fame since it will let me use Firefox or Chrome extensions, but I keep having this nagging feeling that we just need a Mac developer to port ublock origin and that will satisfy 99.99% of the folks who use Mac. So, what does it take to maintain a port over time, year after year? The sad part is that it used to work with Safari, but with Apple's new extensions-must-be-in-the-App-Store-because-reasons change, that was the end of that.
