My view: bots make a lot of noise, but they are usually not very persuasive. Authentic accounts spreading misinformation are much more influential than bots. This problem would worsen if Musk buys twitter, because fewer authentic accounts spreading misinformation would be sanctioned. Real people are a bigger problem than bots.
