Does it make a difference that the people laid off at Netflix don't seem to be software developers?
Also Meta, Uber, Twitter recently slowed/froze hiring.
I saw those reports and also observe that the FB recruiters are more aggressive than ever. I tend to weigh the latter higher than the former
I’m not sure how the latter contradicts the former. In fact, it could also reinforce it.
With a limited number of available spots, and performance based pay, they would need to be more aggressive to ensure they have more candidates who go through the process faster to maximize the number of their own candidates that get recruited.
