Leak shows Google appetite for your location, 747 times per day in USA
minifeednews.comGoogle checks Spaniards an average of 426 times a day to get information about their location and online activity. This is evidenced by an investigation by the Irish association Irish Council for Civil Liberties (ICCL) based on the leak, which also shows that the average number of daily intrusions among European citizens is 376 (Spain is higher) and American, 747, almost doubled.
It is just to improve the user experience of course. I am embarrassed for the colleagues that repeated this fairy tale.
What if users would prefer their experience to be privacy centric not location centric? Checking location every ~3 minutes is excessive if it was purely for passive innocent purposes.
