Tachyum Announces World’s First Universal Processor
tachyum.comThese people are con men. They’ve been publishing a ridiculous torrent of press releases for the last few years on how they’ve completed simulations of their simulations or ported Linux to a sim environment or are now partners with Kreplachistan State University. Their claimed eval platform is FPGA if it even actually exists. They make Elbrus look like Intel. I’ll believe they are real when I see it but there's almost no possibility of that.
Rado from Slovakistan is certainly not a conman. https://www.tachyum.com/company/board-of-directors/
Sims, ok, fpga, ok, but the Elbrus part not.
Ahem. Is that any different from most of what comes out of the Valley of Silly Cons nowadays? Fake it til' you make it, and so on? Do they need to have an office in Saint Yuzzuf near the River Oaks at Coyote Creek to be taken seriously?
That aside, those Kreplachistanis have working public transportation in most parts, can brew excellent beer, even excellent guns, which could be of interest to all those Jerkistanis living in endless streetistan with countless carz and gunz, and occassionally great, wide, empty nature in between.
Cheers.
Apologies if it seemed I was insulting those Kreplachistanis, their beer or their guns. My intention was to lament their involvement with "Tachyum" and the credibility sacrifice they're making in the service of the opposite.
As a Germanistani I don't really care what you think about Anywheristan. It just feels a little bit ignorant. I could understand it, if you had ranted about Mill computing, or Rex Neo, but until further notice I'll give Tachyum the benefit of the doubt.
Besides that, maybe some reading about https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bratislava & https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prague would be in order. Or just f-ing flying there for the weekend, and enjoy downtown.
edit: Btw., although they have no offices in "Saint Yuzzuff", they have one in Santa Clara, right next to intel. Who would have thought...(hrr hrr hrr)
> Tachyum™ today launched the world’s first universal processor, Prodigy, which unifies the functionality of a CPU, GPU and TPU in a single processor, creating a homogeneous architecture, while delivering massive performance improvements at a cost many times less than competing products.
That is a very bold claim. I'll wait for adoption to validate its verity.
