Huge +1 for Hugo! The contributors have done an amazing job and the end product reflects that.

The ecosystem needs more developers willing to contribute and more people to write tutorials and update documentation. Most of the how-to's are dated and the documentation lacks context at more times than not. I always assumed it was just written by higher level minds and English might not be their first language.

Once you get the hang of it though, it is an impressive tool that deserves to gain traction.

Hugo is probably the best static site generator out there, yet there is a lot left to be desired. Hopefully this will help get developers interested.

I still like Hugo, but I moved to Zola for my static sites. Zola uses a template engine very similar to Jinja2, which I like a lot better than Hugo's Go templates.

I tried Zola but found it to be lacking in features overall, but it has been a while since I tried it out. I did find that it had potential to be more powerful.

Nice! I love Hugo. It's honestly the best static site generator I've used.
