Wouldn't it be interesting if this is the event that finally ushers in "The year of the Linux desktop"?

It's going to be the most locked-down and telemetry-based version of Linux you ever saw. Think a Chromebook but far, far worse. Yes, there will be Linux stuff inside it. But it won't be desktop Linux as we know it.

    I think the main reason they did this is to remove their dependence on a piece of closed source software made by an American company. Could you expand on what you mean by “They want to take away the linux/open source community”?

      Contribute/infiltrate the open source community with programmers working for the government
