Syncing a Transcript with Audio in React

A bit off-topic, but the video backgrounds are beautiful. What's the best way to do that?

A good example where you need to bend things because of the functional component use. With class components you could store member variables instead of using refs.

I wonder how Svelte would do. Does anyone happen to know?
