Aha, finally after 100 articles talking about "banning math books" we get some example pages from one of the rejected books.

These selections were probably not chosen in an effort to find the most objectionable content, given both the authorship and tone of the article -- and yet the selected examples demonstrate exactly why this is a lousy selection of math texts. The book is focused on feelings, "mindset", and personal "biography" rather than on ... mathematics.

If these pages are representative samples of the pages of the supposedly-mathematics textbooks that were rejected, then good on Florida for rejecting them

That "How can you understand your feelings?" bubble on the Divide Decimals by Whole Numbers page seems expressly designed to confused and traumatize children.
