What Happened to the Future?

Interesting in that it avoids grumpily saying things like "were's my jetpack!?"

Seems like a business-centric approach to The Future: all we need to do is lavish the money we spent on electronics, and we'll have jetpacks!

I'm not too sure about this. Passenger jets are still about the same size, shape and speed as a DC-8 or 707 was 50 years ago. We've clearly hit a wall on that technology.
