New restrictions on tattoos and cosmetic surgeries for minors in China
In Shanghai, the largest city of China, a municipal regulation took effect on Mar 1, which states:
1. nobody is allowed to provide tattoo services to people under 18, and
2. without parent's consent, nobody is allowed to provide cosmetic surgeries to people under 18.
This change is part of a new amendment to a municipal regulation regarding protection of minors. It's been in effect for nearly a month now, but recently drew more attention due to some debates on the internet.
