Ask HN: Can Spotify employees access songs database?
I want to discover new songs. But song radios suck in general. I might filter songs that are listened nigh on & above 10 millions. If the answer id yes, i might consider applying to job vacancies. thanks.. You want to apply to Spotify, under the condition that you get “advanced access” to their songs DB so you can run some advanced queries that the app doesn’t allow you to make? That would be the basis for your employment there? Unfortunately their api does not provide much info. Also I did not mean "advanced access", song name and listen count are ok for me. I'm sure if they just explain it like that, it'll bode well
