This is so cool. Take a look at the navigation bar in the header- it's one image, and one big anchor tag. So how does it know what people click on? An image map! (A server-side image map, not to be confused with the <map> tag)

OP here. This find was a tiny joy in my day. The article was from 1998 and the page appears to be untouched by all the "upgrades" in HTML. I love this...image maps, light HTML, tables...oh my!

    Links to a lot of the older stories on that page work as well, fascinating!

    A site search of that archive link unearths SO much time-capsule content - thanks for sharing :D
