Ukraine loses control of Chernobyl site; increase in radiation detected
journalrecord.comChernobyl was taken, but we're going to need a better source than whatever this site is before we start claiming there was an increase in radiation.
Another submission listed https://www.saveecobot.com/en/radiation-maps#11/51.3463/30.1... and there you can click on the map markers for recent history. But that website has no help page and I can't read/understand the sources linked.
I've seen that site linked, but it's highly suspect. The "radiation map" page did not seem to exist before today: https://web.archive.org/web/20220224230609/https://www.savee...
Also, they claim to have "1 million users", and yet only have 22 Twitter followers: https://twitter.com/SaveEcoBot
It smells of a misinformation campaign to me.
It appears to be an Ukrainian thing. That most likely explains no following in Twitter. It looks like it started as air pollution map/monitor but at some moment they added radiation map. It is in the menu options on Ukrainian version but obviously is not recorded by Archive. It appears first already in October 2021 but there is large cap between previous dump from August where it is not present.
Here is official Ukrainian site http://www.srp.ecocentre.kiev.ua/MEDO-PS/index.php?online=1
This is not responding at the moment. Hopefully not because of me.
Is that true?
