I recognize that I did not read the article. Nor I will. Elon was funny for a while, but to give attention to all his tantrums makes the web a worse place.

The author is having the temper tantrum. Elon tweeted 3 words.

Elon was simply used as clickbait in the title for shit article.

Not commenting and posting links about Elon probably would have served your proclaimed goal better.

This is Elons opinion #38485 which has no validity whatsoever because it is prone to 180 uturn every week

but being edgy on twitter is the number one way of getting attention.

Musk is BS, Web3 is BS, cryptocurrency is BS. Should I go on?

There's a saying that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Our social feeds would benefit if more people considered this before posting.

Kelsey Hightower is a good personality to watch in this conversation. He is skeptic while learning more with an open mind. His questions, challenges, and analogies are fresh and useful.

There comes a point where following that advice just clears the way for daftness. Never apologize for calling a spade a spade. When whether something is taken as the truth or not comes down to the number of heads repeating it, it behooves one to be vocal and not leace the narrative to someone else.

There is a difference between being critical or skptical, and being pleasant or abrasive / offensive.

Quite so. I took the time to read the article, and it’s not abrasive or offensive. (You didn’t say it was, I took you as making a more general point.)

It’s not saying anything new either.

How.... Well. Crap. And now it's outside the delete window

        How's one traditionally remedy this?

        • verdverm 4 years ago

By deleting within window, or by waiting until it is out of memory and not worth worrying about. It happens...

You could email the mods, but meh?

Whoever Maciej Baron is, he's an idiot given that trash article I just read. I mean, none of those paragraphs had a coherent thought. From what you could piece out, it was the same old talking points except the author butchered them comically.

And yes I believe insults are warranted after that second sentence he wrote, what a toxic person.

The Elon name drop in the title is just clickbait for his unoriginal shit crypto bashing article.

His socialist bio and the "late-stage capitalism" references are icing on the shit cake.

Side note: why is passing off an opinion as a fact the standard nowadays?
