Please Delete This Account
So apparently this site uses the fishy concept of shadow ban, and this account is shadow banned.
It's probably from one of the countless times I got flagged and downvoted by antisemitic people when defending Israel. I don't regret it and I would do it again and I think that's a real stain on this community. These same people calling Israel apartheid are getting upvoted.
I wished to delete this account as a protest, but apparently there's no way to even delete it. Not sure how it's in compliance with GDPR.
So please delete this account. Don't bullshit me about discussion integrity when you're doing shady business like shadow bans. We didn't shadowban you. You haven't just been breaking the site guidelines in many different ways, you've been posting slurs that are among the worst things I've seen on HN in quite a while. Since you've continued to do that (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30283728 was just yesterday), it's clear that the decision to ban the account was correct. Criticism of Israel is not antisemitic. I'd guess that it's not in compliance with GDPR because it's not a European site, and thus not required to be. If you want to delete the account, you'll have better luck sending email to "hn@ycombinator.com".
